Manya Ronay is a Certified Level 3 Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner and Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®️). She works at the intersection of physical health and emotional health, specializing in IFS for eating and mind-body healing. Originally from Florida, Manya lives in Northern Israel and practices Relational IFS: a gentle, person-centered approach to parts work.

What is IFS?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a powerful modality that helps people connect to their different parts and to Self, a healing energy that resides at the core of all of us. Our true essence, Self, is always calm, compassionate, courageous, and connected, and knows exactly what is needed to heal.

IFS in a nutshell
We are all made of many parts: parts that want to be healthy, parts that overeat, inner critics, and more. All parts have positive intentions, even the ones that cause trouble. For example, parts may use food to protect us from pain or create physical symptoms to bring attention to something important. In IFS, parts are gently explored and understood in terms of how they are trying to help. When parts are understood, they can relax and become more Self-led, returning to their naturally valuable roles in the system and harmoniously lending their important gifts.

What happens during sessions?
In My Breakthrough Community, Manya practices what is called Relational IFS, a person-centered approach to parts work that flows in and out of the IFS protocol based on each client’s needs. Classic IFS is an internal process of directly communicating with parts, but it does not work for everyone at every moment. Manya has found that the most important component of healing is the ability to hold Self presence: a compassionate, curious energy with no agenda but to connect. With IFS as her primary lens, she holds space for parts and helps systems find balance, whether that looks like a deep internal process or a conversation between practitioner and client.
