Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how My Breakthrough Coaching ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit mybreakthroughcoaching.com, join My Breakthrough Community, buy a course, coaching programme or event, or otherwise contact us. We are the controller of your personal information. You can reach us at connect@mybreakthroughcoaching.com.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

  • Account and contact details: name, email address, phone number and password.
  • Purchase details: the memberships, courses, coaching, masterclasses or events you buy, and billing history. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Bookings and registrations: chosen session times, coaches, events and any notes you share with your coach.
  • Communications: messages sent through our contact form, email or free gift requests.
  • Learning activity: course progress and personal notes you save in your dashboard.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to our newsletter.

We also collect some information automatically, such as pages visited, referring website, approximate location (city and country), device and browser type, and login dates.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and give you access to what you have purchased.
  • To process payments, renewals and cancellations.
  • To schedule sessions and events and send confirmations, reminders and meeting links.
  • To respond to your questions and provide support.
  • To send newsletters and offers, only where you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • To keep our services secure and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Legal Bases (UK, EEA and Similar Laws)

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: performing our contract with you; your consent (for example, marketing emails, which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in running and improving our business; and compliance with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our services, and only as needed:

  • Payment processing (Stripe).
  • Email newsletters (Mailchimp).
  • Video sessions (Zoom).
  • Website hosting, databases and transactional email delivery.
  • Your assigned coach or event facilitator, who receives the details needed to deliver your session or event.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer.

International Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart and keep the site secure. We also measure site traffic to improve our pages. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, and afterwards only as long as required for legal, tax, accounting or dispute purposes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, California and other US state privacy laws, Canada's PIPEDA, South Africa's POPIA or Australia's Privacy Act), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent.
  • Receive your information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email connect@mybreakthroughcoaching.com. We will respond within the time required by law and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity first.

California Residents

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. The categories of information we collect and the purposes we use them for are described above.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and notify you of significant changes where appropriate.
