About

Melissa Gallison brings extensive education, professional experience, and lived insight to her work in healing and recovery. Her approach is rooted in connection, presence, compassion, and deep listening supporting individuals through reflection, reframing, and meaningful engagement with their inner and outer worlds.

Her work is informed not only by her professional background, but also by her own ongoing journey of healing and recovery from multiple addictions. Melissa integrates both traditional and alternative holistic healing modalities, drawing on approaches that support emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, including her involvement in My Breakthrough Community.

Melissa holds multiple advanced degrees and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in health and medical care. Her training also includes food addiction recovery, somatic healing, resilience practices, and she is a certified Reiki practitioner. Her professional career spans roles as a nurse practitioner, faculty member, researcher, and administrator within a national non-profit organisation, with experience across multiple regions in the United States.

Throughout her life and work, Melissa has found grounding and healing through connection with nature, engagement in faith communities, and participation in retreats focused on a variety of healing modalities. She practices interreligious dialogue across multiple faith traditions, reflecting her openness to diverse pathways of meaning, growth, and understanding.

Melissa is deeply committed to lifelong learning and intentional living. She regularly engages in reflective practices such as values clarification, visioning, and “future self” work, which continue to shape her personal and professional journey. Creative expression is also an important part of her daily life, including writing, art, and music.

Within My Breakthrough Community, Melissa brings a calm, compassionate presence, supporting members through connection, reflection, and shared exploration. Her approach is thoughtful, inclusive, and grounded in service, helping create a space where healing can unfold with intention, courage, and care.
